2D materials has unique properties than other traditional materials because of their enlarged surface. Many researchers have tried to realize their great properties in a variety end-uses, but nobody succeed it in application fields because of ignorance about variable materials properties of 2D materials differed by surface characteristics. For example, chemically prepared graphene, comes from the reduction of graphene oxide, shows various final properties because of its differed surface characteristics by oxidation and reduction routes. Each application field requires different properties of graphene, characteristic variation during preparation step should be considered for tailor-fitted preparation.
Therefore, this presentation concentrated on the relationship between surface characteristics and its materials properties of 2D materials, concentrate on the case of chemically prepared graphene. This work will be of value to researchers interested in field of 2D materials and investigating application field.
